At this year's IAA in Frankfurt, the PRG Lab team was commissioned to plan and implement an integrated lead generation system for Toyota, combined with applications to enhance visitor activation . To this end, sets of QR code readers, stations with interactive games, tablets for user data entry and terminals for controlling and querying data sets were linked and installed in a network on the Toyota stand. The collected data was stored on redundant, local servers to ensure smooth operation of the application throughout the entire term of the IAA. Various exhibits of the stand were connected with the system in a network, in order to register both, utilization and access to the exhibits, e.g. a 3D printer or interactive games.
The visitors were able to register at the Toyota booth at one of the numerous tablets or user terminals. Immediately following the data input, the users received an e-mail with a personalized QR code on their smartphones. This QR code could then be scanned at each exhibit using the integrated QR code reader from the smartphone for activation and participation in the game applications.
In addition to the lead system, PRG Lab developed two game versions, which were also integrated into the system as touch applications. These "Minigames" addressed, for example, in a quiz game, Toyota's commitment as mobility partner of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic and Paralympic Games. At the end of the experience, the users could participate in a competition, arrange a test ride with their desired Toyota model or take home a 3D mini model of a Toyota.
PRG Lab has, to the fullest satisfaction of the customer implemented the specification to design an appealing application, combined with the possibility to collect detailed statistics for marketing purposes and to retrieve these flexibly. In addition to the system planning, PRG Lab was also responsible for the motion design, the sound design as well as the corresponding production of the required multimedia assets for the mini-games. PRG Lab’s well designed, transparent system architecture and the possibility to view and edit registration data simultaneously from different access points helped to successfully achieve both client’s goals: an increased activation of visitors plus an enhanced generation and activation of numerous leads at the IAA 2017.
